It works 80% of the time

It has not a consistent signal, drops calls. People dont hear me sometimes , It needs improvements, I have the paid version

Great Softphone

I have used a lot of crappy soft-phone applications on both mobile devices and my PC. This is my favorite. I found a bug where my calls were being dropped with one of my service providers. After reporting it to the developer of this app, he released a new update a couple days later with the issue fixed. Nice work!

Nice app

Full featured, seems quite reliable. Crashes occasionally but never during a call so who cares? Might be time to reboot my iPod :-)

Great!

I would have rated this app 6 stars if I could :) Does a perfect job of saving money. It also saves you a hassle by having amazingly simplified the setup process - it took me just a minute to start making calls via Asterisk. Fully configurable - calls over 3G/WiFi/both, echo/noise cancellation, automatic gain control, ringtones, integration with your contacts, and more. It even allows you to choose whether it will run in the background (from where it connects instantly have you switched Wi-Fi/cellular on). Quite demanding of the bandwidth - I have not succeeded to talk normally via EDGE, but 3G 3.1 Mb/s is perfectly sufficient. And last but not least - the app uses a tiny amount of traffic compared to the quality it brings on. No lags and the voices sound even better than with a usual handy. Keep it up!

Rock stable

6 stars! Awesome app! Works flawlessly. It works great with my bluetooth headset too. I use it on our 2600Hz enterprise pbx and on Callcentric.

Love it

Tried a lot - this is the best

:)

very good

Works!

Took me a bit of a learning curve, but very useful.

Great app ... Lousy app icon!

Please guys! Your app icon drives me nuts. For an app as high quality as this one is, please come up with an icon that looks like a phone and is classy.

Impossibility to use it on another device

I bought it. Finally. Then I bought a new iPhone. And after installing this software I found that I cant use it without annoying ads!!! It was like I didnt buy anything!!! I lose my payments for codecs, ads - for everything, though I use the same Apple ID. And they dont have support team - I wrote there asking to help me with this issue. No answer more than a few weeks. Dont buy it!!! Use it only like a free app.

Very disappointed

I tried the free version and it worked just as expected, quick and easy. I wanted to have multiple SIP’s and according to the developer’s website I needed to purchase the PRO version, so I did. When I discovered that I can have additional SIPs, but only one active, I felt mislead. According to the developer’s website the free version only allows one SIP at a time, but the upgraded one appears to support multiple SIPs as once. Support is terrible, just try reaching someone, Ugh. I feel cheated and mislead. The unfortunate thing is the free app works great which is why I wanted to upgrade to support additional SIPs.

A great app with some free codecs

The Bluetooth issue has been fixed! All is well now :-) The two complaints of mine are too much white inside (or lack of a darker theme) and the fact that running in background prevents the phone from going dormant (the standby time equals the usage time in iOS statistics), thus leading to extensive battery drain. On the other hand, Im not able to receive incoming calls without keeping the app in the background. You should really work on some notifications, guys.

No Frills Freebie that Works!

**updating for v4.1.3** The new logo looks nice, the interface is still incredibly ugly with ads galore; something also changed with the audio-quality, where everything now sounds muffled. If I immediately switch to Linphone and dial the exact same call, everything then sounds great. Dropping Media5 to three stars. Thank you for making this free version. **v4.1.2** Profoundly ugly logo, an even uglier interface decorated with ads galore, yet, it works great! This might be the best freebie SIP on the App Store; almost definitely the ugliest. IPhone 5s IOS 7.1.1

Great app but confusing features missing

I love this app and have used it for years. It has weird features that confuse me, though. 1. Why is the contacts view so messed up? Each row is HUGE, and there’s no ABC index on the right side to quickly scroll. This is a huge step back in the new version. 2. Why are recent calls automatically deleted? In today’s world with 128GB iPhones, it seems downright silly to automatically delete items from the list. This has caused all sorts of frustration! There’s a clear button if someone really wanted to clear their history. 3. The favorites animation probably seemed like a cute idea, but it gets boring quickly. I would like to be able to call those numbers quickly! Oh, and I would also like to change the voicemail button on that view. My SIP doesn’t support it. I still love this app, and it’s the best one out there!

Free version has ad that covers the whole screen

Having an advertisement cover the whole screen so the app is unusable is a real slap in the face for users. You cant even dismiss the ad. This approach treats users with contempt. Their are other voip apps out there like Zoiper. Stay away from this one.

Unlock in-app purchase still displays the full page ad!!

I’ve been using this app for a while and when the full page ad that makes the app unusable popped up for me yesterday I purchased the in-app purchase - unlock for $5.99 - the problem is that the full page ad still shows up after i make my first call with it making this app unusable and super annoying.

Advertisement audio plays while on call

Just upgraded to Ver 4.11.1.4967 - audio on advertisements starts playing while on a phone call. Can hear audio on both my callers and the advertisement at the same time. Please fix this! Previous vets comments: This upgrade is buggy. This update now caused improper display of contact details. When attempting to display a contacts phone number from the devices contact list only one email address and one phone number show up in the app. All other phone numbers which I have in the contacts profile is missing. In other instances only email addresses show up and no phone numbers display. How would I call their work email address? Dont upgrade to this version, too many bugs.

Favorite most reliable soft phone

Best sip phone on iTunes. Most reliable for my iPhone, test with free then buy unlock and remove ads. Thanks

Battery drain 45%

Im using version 4.11.1 and suddenly my battery drained significantly in the middle of the day. I found the culprit from the settings->battery too Media5 "background activity" drained almost half of my battery. Please fix the problem. Meanwhile, shut down the app when youre not using it. Ill update my review once the issue gets fixed.

"Run in background" does not work

Only two stars, because it does not work in the background. Besides that, it seems to be a good application. I purchased a license and most add-ons, unfortunately before discovering that the "run in background" feature does not work. When you close the app, it really stops working. You either have it fully running, all the time, or you have to accept phone calls by appointment... I tried to communicate with support via email, but havent received any answer so far.
